CollectionNature
Nature was one of Charles Menge’s main sources of inspiration. When the light seemed ideal to him, he would set off with his small suitcase and folding chair in search of the perfect “spot”. Once he had found the best place with the best view, he would settle there for a few hours and let his poetic interpretation of the place express itself on the canvas. In the artist’s vision, Nature is directly linked to the theme of Creation. It represents the purity of that which has not been touched, transformed or destroyed by Man. It is proof of the existence of a higher Source that gives birth to this earthly reality made up of the harmony of colors, shapes, Heaven and Earth, before which we can only be amazed.
