DISCOVER HIS Inspirations
For Charles, art is a universal means of communication, capable of transcending linguistic and cultural barriers.
He firmly believes that art should provoke an emotional and intellectual reaction in the viewer, creating a dialogue between the work and the observer. Through his work, he seeks to inspire and move, offering a window into his own inner world while resonating with the personal experiences of each individual.
He strives to translate these elements into works of art that speak directly to the soul of the spectator. His often abstract compositions invite contemplation and personal interpretation, with each spectator finding a unique meaning in the shapes and colors.

His notable exhibitions include those at the Fondation Louis Moret in Martigny, at the Swiss Embassy in London, and participations in international art fairs such as the Brandt Gallery in Amsterdam. His works are part of private and public collections in Paris, Brussels, New York, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Geneva, Basel, Bern, and he has received several awards for his contribution to contemporary art.
Valais, a source of inspiration.
This alpine region of Valais, which constitutes a canton in its own right in the Swiss Confederation, is where Charles Menge lived all his life and which inspired him. Its nature, its traditions, its religiosity, this part of the country also known as “Le Vieux Pays” was his birthplace.
